we absolutely loved this location, the reflection of the trees and surrounding area on the water creates a beautiful effect, which I feel would look brilliant in our film.
By using a slow shutter speed we managed to create these beautiful soft and blurry images, we want to find out how to create this on film. A question to ask Geralidine. The area gives a feeling of desolation, there never seems to be anyone around. The concept of our film is a 'beautiful suicide' and I feel this feeling of desolation will help with filming, suicide is possibly one of the most isolated concepts, and I feel both would work well together.Today Rosie and I went and had a look around Mote Park in Maidstone, as a possible location for our shoot. We both really loved it here and think it would be perfect. The only downside about this location is the health and safety, we would want our model in the lake and there are many problems to consider...
- Healthy and Safety of model
- Gaining permission to use lake
- Insurances
- Maybe even having to pay for location
We will carry on looking for other more suitable locations as there are many problems to consider with Mote Park, but at least we know this location could still be a possiblility. Above are a few photos from the day...
